Southern California rocked by earthquake
A 4.9 magnitude earthquake struck Southern California on Monday afternoon, with many aftershocks felt even after this strong earthquake.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake struck around 1 pm, with its epicenter being reported about 13 miles northeast of Barstow in San Bernardino County. The effects of this earthquake were felt in large parts of Southern California, including metropolitan Los Angeles and northern San Diego County.
The USGS initially measured the magnitude of the earthquake at 5.1, but quickly reduced it to 4.9. After this, several significant aftershocks measuring 3.5 and 2.7 occurred. So far no casualties have been reported in this earthquake.
